Pilates may be helpful for some people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome because it emphasizes control, alignment, stability, and low-impact strengthening. However, hypermobility requires careful supervision and modifications. A private session is often a better starting point than a faster-paced group class, especially for assessing joint stability, avoiding overextension, and coordinating with medical guidance.
